Call Of Duty: World War 2

Activision has dropped a trailer for the next Call of Duty: WWII downloadable content, The War Machine. It gives us nice cinematic views of the new multiplayer maps, along with another War Mode mission and the next chapter in the Nazi Zombies mode.
The maps include Dunkirk, V2, and Egypt. The latter is the first time this series has gone to the country, and we get a nice view of the action inside landmarks like the Great Pyramids. Dunkirk and V2 offer a large open area with some tight interiors and a secret rocket test site, respectively. The War Mission mode is Operation Husky, which introduces aerial dogfights. The trailer ends on the Shadowed Throne, the next chapter of the Nazi Zombies storyline. This one takes the fight to Berlin, where Doktor Straub's army is attempting to purge the city. With monsters, presumably.
The War Machine will release on April 10 for PlayStation 4. Sony's timed exclusivity deal with Activision means it will arrive about a month later on PC and Xbox One, though it will include the same content on those platforms.
War Machine will be available as a standalone purchase, or as part of the Season Pass for $50 / £40 / AU $65. That also nets you access to the first expansion, The Resistance. Like this latest DLC, that also added new multiplayer maps, a War mode level, and an addition to Nazi Zombies mode.
Some People Want Fortnite Banned For "Brainwashing" Loved Ones

It's pretty well established at this point that Fortnite is popular--like, ridiculously popular. So popular that schools are having to ban it from class, and hip-hop artists and professional athletes are talking about it and playing it. But the hours and hours of gametime that some players are logging is creating a bit of a backlash to the game--and some people have banded together to try and resist it.
Frustrated with how engrossed their loved ones have become with Fortnite, hundreds of people have signed a petition simply titled, "Get rid of Fortnite." Its mission is to ban the game so that significant others' free time can be reclaimed.
As reported by the Washington Post (which, it should be said, is itself evident of Fortnite's popularity), the Change.org petition has accumulated about 730 signatures at the time of this writing. Most express frustration that their loved ones are neglecting them in favor of the game; as Chloe DePalma wrote, "It's taking over our boyfriends lives and brainwashing them."
This petition is obviously meant in jest; Fortnite will in no way be banned, and it's likely that the majority of petitioners know that. But it's a testament to the Fortnite phenomenon that this petition has resonated with many people across social media. As for the anonymous creator of the petition, they updated the change.org site with an explanation that it was started as a joke--and, recently, they've begun playing Fortnite and actually enjoy it.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2's New Update Reduces Its Difficulty And Buffs Characters
The game should be less punishing.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 launched to a fairly positive reception last month, due in part to its similarities to the long-dormant Left 4 Dead series. However, many players have also expressed a dissatisfaction with the sometimes punishing difficulty of the game, and developer Fatshark has even acknowledged that the spikes in difficulty need to be ironed out. Recently, the studio released its biggest fix yet for that issue in a new patch that buffs every character and tones down the deadliness of enemies.
Patch 1.0.5 is a sweeping update that touches most parts of the game's combat. Specifically, the five playable characters have all received boosts to many of their skills. Bardin, for example, has the See It Coming perk buffed from granting a 10% dodge range increase to a 20% increase, while Kerillian's Hulon's Tenacity perk now grants a 50% increase to stamina regeneration (up from 30%). There are a lot more changes and buffs to character abilities included in the patch; you can read all of them here.
In addition, Fatshark has significantly modified the way that difficulty levels work and grant rewards. Veteran, for instance, now gives rewards up to 300 Hero Power (up from 200). Meanwhile, Legend and Champion, the two highest difficulty levels, no longer cap Hero Power.
Finally, the studio has also made enemies slightly easier. Marauders are easier to cut through, while Blightstormer Sorcerers have one third less health. On Champion and Legend difficulties, new enemy swarms will less frequently spawn while you're fighting other foes.
The patch is out right now in Vermintide 2 on PC; you can read the full patch notes here. In other news, the game has sold quite well since its release. In addition, be sure to check out our feature on how Vermintide 2 builds on Left 4 Dead's success.
